Four Rutgers-Newark faculty members were chosen to receive the Universitywide Year-End Excellence Awards. 

They are among 30 Rutgers faculty members from all four academic units who were recognized.

“Each year these awards honor members of the Rutgers community selected by their colleagues for outstanding contributions to teaching, research, and public service,’’ according to a statement from President Jonathan Holloway’s office.

Below are the awardees: 

The Presidential Award for Excellence in Teaching

The award honors non-tenure-track, full-time faculty members who have demonstrated outstanding teaching skills in classroom instruction, clinical instruction, curriculum development, or mentoring.

The fellowship honors faculty members who have made truly outstanding contributions to teaching during their early years at Rutgers.

Jerry W. Kim, Associate Professor, Department of Management and Global Business, Rutgers Business School

Jennifer Rosen Valverde, Professor, Rutgers Law School

The Board of Trustees Research Fellowship for Scholarly Excellence

The fellowship honors faculty members who have made truly outstanding contributions to research during their early years at Rutgers.
