For Women's History Month, we're honoring students and other women from the Rutgers-Newark community on our social media pages. The theme is "Women at Work,'' and pictured here is alumna Alyssa Mae Berman, a 2022 Rutgers Business School graduate. Her internship led to a job with the Live to Love organization, a support network for indigenous Himalayan communities. The trip was part of RU-N's International Leadership Exchange through the Office of Global Initiatives & Experiential Learning. Since then, Berman, who majored in Leadership and Management Studies at the business school, has developed national promotional campaigns, supported conservation research at a Zambia-based NGO, and researched employment equity and job creation with Live to Love. She says, "Tying in lessons from...my business school background, this internship opportunity launched me into a full-time job to start my career in the nonprofit sector.''
