Weather and Campus Operating Status

Dear Rutgers University – Newark community members,

Rutgers University-Newark will be open and operating on a normal schedule for Thursday, February 25, 2026.

Please join us in extending our sincere gratitude to those members of the Rutgers-Newark community who stayed on campus during the storm; they supported our students in housing, worked to keep our campus safe, and cleared the snow and ice after the storm.

Courses:

• Class will resume in-person including 1 Washington Street (Rutgers Business School); all courses will meet as scheduled as indicated on the Rutgers Schedule of Classes.

Faculty and Staff:

• Employees should report to campus at their assigned time and location. For Thursday, February 26 & Friday, February 27, we are encouraging supervisors to stagger staff schedules with returning to the office. Supervisors should communicate directly to their team via Rutgers email.
