On April 29 and 30, Rutgers University–Newark (RU-N) will celebrate new traditions and old friends with the combined festivities of Rutgers Day and Alumni Weekend.
The longtime tradition of Alumni Weekend will kick off this year on Friday, April 29, 2016, with law school reunions for the classes of 1966 and 1991. On Saturday, April 30, events will include a pinning ceremony honoring all 1966 and 1991 alumni, a crash course in genealogy, and an exciting lineup of Rutgers Day activities. This year marks the first time in which RU-N will host Rutgers Day on its campus, with events taking place on April 30, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. This free, public event will showcase RU-N’s research initiatives, student life, and programs through exhibits, games, performances, and demonstrations.
