  • ALI Youth Media Symposium
    YMS holds summer and afterschool programs focusing on leadership development, education advocacy, and media production for Newark high school students.
     
  • Bethany Cares Inc
    Bethany Cares, Inc. services 85 scholars, between ages 5 and 11, with a safe, academic summer experience that will instill in them the belief that they can make a difference.
     
  • Brighter Day Youth Summer Camp
    Brighter Day Youth Summer Camp is a 10-week summer day camp, for children ages 2.5 to 13, that offers an array of summer activities that are affordable for parents and fun for children.
     
  • CIMIC Science and Technology Summer Camp
    Sponsored by the Center for Information Management, Integration, and Connectivity (CIMIC), this summer camp program provides an opportunity for middle and high school students to explore science and technology disciplines based on challenging and real-world problem solving.
     
  • Cooperman College Scholars Academic Summer Program
    Cooperman College Scholars is a program that supports academically talented, highly motivated students with financial need from Essex County, New Jersey, in their efforts to attain a four-year college degree.
     
  • Fraser’s Fractions STEAM Summer Program
    This Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math (STEAM) summer program, located at Express Newark, includes coding, 3D printing and stencil screen-printing in addition to trips to MoMath and the Grammy Museum.
     
  • GlassRoots
    GlassRoots is offering several classes and camps to learn or hone your glass making skills in The Flat Shop, The Flame Shop, and The Hot Shop.
     
  • Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship BizCamp
    This program delivers NFTE’s award-winning entrepreneurship course, activating students’ entrepreneurial mindset while they learn the fundamentals of entrepreneurship and how to create and pitch original business plans.
     
  • Newark Museum
    Camp Newark Museum is a fun, innovative six-week experience where children expand their knowledge through exploration of the Museum’s world class art and science collections.
     
  • New Jersey Performing Arts Center
    Teens can find inspiration and build community in a one-week jazz immersion program. Teens and young adults can also take a jazz and R&B intensive class. 
     
  • PAS (Pathways to Achievement and Success)
    Pathways to Achievement and Success (PAS) provides Newark youth with an integrated arts and college readiness curriculum.
     
  • Print Camp
    The Newark Print Shop’s Print Camp, at Express Newark, offers an extensive summer arts program for children and teens, who will work in a variety of traditional and contemporary print mediums, including screenprint, monoprint, relief print, and cyanotypes.
     
  • RU Ready for Public/Healthcare Service Career Immersion Program Tracks
    The RU Ready summer enrichment component features a career immersion experience that exposes students to options in fields such as public and healthcare services, criminal justice, or brain health/psychology research.

  • Rutgers-Merck Summer Bioethics Institute
    The Rutgers-Merck Summer Bioethics Institute is an 8-day residential program in early July for Newark-area high school students focusing on issues in bioethics.
     
  • Rutgers-Newark Summer Session

    Summer Edge allows high school students the opportunity to start earning college credit during the summer at Rutgers University-Newark.
     
  • Summer in the City (City of Newark)
    A series of day enrichment programs located in each ward throughout the City of Newark for ages 7-13. The 7-week, free programs include breakfast and lunch.
     
  • The Children’s Defense Fund (CDF)/New Ark Freedom School
    The CDF Freedom Schools® program is an educational and cultural program that provides summer options, for children in grades 3-5, in the Fairmount neighborhood of Newark.
     
  • Women’s Basketball Elite Camp 
    Join Division I, II and III players and coaches for a one-of-a-kind ‘Elite Camp’ in The Golden Dome on June 22, 2018!
     
  • Write on Sports
    Newark public, private and charter 6th and 7th grade students will interview athletes, journalists and broadcasters and attend at least one sports event. They will also write stories, blog and make videos to report on their activities.
