What: A panel discussion with the Newark mayoral candidates on their roles as public servants. Ras Baraka, Shavar Jeffries, and Rutgers-Newark alumni Anibal Ramos, and Darrin Sharif will talk about the importance of public service and why they have chosen to give back to their communities.

Who: Dr. Robert Curvin, Visiting Professor at Rutgers University E.J. Bloustein School of Public Policy, will moderate the discussion.

When: Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2013, 2:30-4:30 pm; the event will begin promptly.

Where: Rutgers-Newark Campus, Paul Robeson Campus Center, 350 Dr. Martin Luther King Boulevard – The Bergen Room, Newark, NJ 07102; side-street parking is available.
