Safer Newark Council to Release Report Outlining New Strategies to Reduce Gun Violence, Homicides and Robberies in Newark News Conference

Conference will take place at Rutgers University - Newark on Monday, June 6

Newark, NJ (June 3, 2016) — Mayor Ras J. Baraka and The Safer Newark Council will announce the findings of a new study analyzing Newark crime data and recommending strategies targeted to prevent retaliation shootings, keep released prisoners from returning to crime and immediately intervene with young people arrested for robberies at a press conference on Monday, June 6, 2016, 11:00 am, at Rutgers University – Newark, Center for Law and Justice, Baker Courtroom, Room 125, Newark, NJ.
