Civic Engagement week

Civic Engagement Week is a nonpartisan initiative designed to help Rutgers–Newark students become more informed, empowered, and engaged members of their communities. Throughout the week, students will have opportunities to learn about the voting process, understand their rights as voters, and explore ways to participate in civic life beyond Election Day.

The week will focus on providing accessible, factual, and nonpartisan information that allows students to make informed decisions for themselves. Programming will highlight voter education, Know Your Rights information, voter registration, understanding the electoral process, and opportunities for students to engage with their community.

Our goal is to create a welcoming environment where every Rutgers–Newark student, regardless of political affiliation or background, feels prepared and confident to participate in the civic process.
