Celebrates Women's History Month
Every year, the accomplishments and contributions of women to American society are celebrated during the month of March, which is designated by the United States Congress as Women’s History Month.
All month, Rutgers University—Newark is highlighting the critical role of women in all aspects of society, remembering women’s rich legacy in history and honoring the countless accomplishments of women in Newark, in New Jersey, in the U.S. and around the world.
We also celebrate the birthday and accomplishments of Newark trailblazer Beatrice Winser.
The kickoff begins with the annual campus wide celebration: No More Hidden Figures: Honoring the SHEROES Among Us on March 6. Other events happening on and off campus include a two-week film festival, award ceremonies and a jazz concert:
