Alumni, Students, Will 'Rock The Scarlet' During 7th Annual Homecoming
The Rutgers-Newark community, its alumni and family members will gather on campus to “Rock the Scarlet” during Homecoming 2011.

The festivities, which begin Sept. 19 with a commemoration of Constitution Day and end Sat., Sept 24, celebrate community spirit and school pride. Homecoming events offer a variety of memory-making opportunities and celebrations for the entire community.

Planned events so far include:
• Rutgers sporting events: women’s soccer, baseball, and women’s volleyball
• NY Red Bulls vs. Real Salt Lake (Discounted alumni tickets available!)
• Fall Fest Carnival
• Athletic Hall of Fame Luncheon
• Campus Walking Tour
• Special alumni get-togethers including a McGovern’s social, a young alumni happy hour and Rutgers Jazz MA alumni socials

Rutgers-Newark can be reached by New Jersey Transit buses and trains, the PATH train and Amtrak from New York City, and by the Newark Light Rail, Washington Street Station or Broad Street Station. By car, Rutgers-Newark can be reached by the Garden State Parkway, New Jersey Turnpike, Routes 95, 21, 78, and 280, and the Lincoln and Holland tunnels. Metered parking is available on University Avenue. Other parking: Rutgers-Newark’s parking garage (200 University Ave.) or the Bradley Hall Lot.
