The Reading Room

Rutgers-Newark faculty, staff and alumni are a talented group of scholars and experts from a broad range of disciplines, with in-depth knowledge of many subjects – and they’ve written books that prove it.

Remember the tale of a little boy having a terrible, horrible day? That classic child’s book was penned by Judith Viorst, Class of 1952, one of many Rutgers-Newark alumni, faculty and staff who are renowned authors and poets.

Biographies that reveal hidden life stories; financial planning advice; precedent-setting lawsuits. Works of non-fiction by Rutgers authors reflect the reality of life, while also, on occasion, transforming that reality.
