Newark’s 10th annual Women’s History Month Film Festival
Multiple locations at Rutgers-Newark and City of Newark
Women in Media-Newark (WIM-N), working in partnership with Rutgers University–Newark and other community partners, will hold its 10th annual International Film Festival from March 27 through April 5 in celebration of Women’s History Month. The festival will screen international, independent film by and about global women’s issues.
Being Gladys will premiere on March 27, 2019 at the Newark Museum to kick-off the Women In Media – Newark’s 10th annual Women’s History Month Film Festival. The film festival is free and open to the public, although donations are welcome.
Women In Media – Newark (WIM-Newark) is an organization that advocates for and educates the public about issues affecting the lives of women using film, video, and new media as their platforms. Merging culture and academia, WIM-Newark rallies behind women who courageously struggle to assume leadership roles in the film industry with their conscious effort to present a balanced image of women, dispelling the stereotypes and changing public perception of their sisters worldwide.
