This discussion will give participants insight into the background of the events leading up to the Liberation of Conklin Hall directly from those involved.
The moderator for the BOSAA panel will be Wendell Holbrook, Associate Professor of African American and African Studies. He holds a Ph.D. in history from Princeton University, and has been the recipient of several prestigious fellowships: the post-doctoral fellowship in history at Johns Hopkins University; a Fulbright Fellowship; and the National Endowment for the Humanities Fellowship. He is a member of the African Studies Association and the Association for the Study of Afro-American Life and History.
Panelists include Conklin Movement participants Peter Jackson NCAS’75, Claude Singleton NCAS’78, George Hampton, NCAS’75, Vickie Donaldson NCAS’72, and Thomas Roberts NCAS’73.
