National Experts to Discuss Innovations in Legal Education at April 17 Rutgers Law School–Newark Symposium
Newark, NJ – Leading academics from around the country, prominent jurists, and leading practitioners and public interest attorneys will speak at the symposium “A Legal Education Prospectus: Law Schools & Emerging Frontiers in Curriculum, Lawyering, and Social Justice,” to be held at Rutgers School of Law–Newark on Friday, April 17, 2009. This symposium, sponsored by the student journal Rutgers Law Review, will explore the methods used by innovative law schools to equip graduates with legal theory and prepare them to become well-rounded professionals with social and global awareness. The afternoon panel, sponsored by Professor Paul Tractenberg’s Centennial Seminar, will include alums who assumed integral roles in three landmark New Jersey cases: Abbott v. Burke, In re Baby M., and In re Quinlan.
