Members of media are invited to cover this event, which is open to the public.

The School of Public Affairs and Administration (SPAA) at Rutgers University–Newark (RU-N) and SPAA National Center for Public Performance (NCPP) will announce their partnership with Bergen County, New Jersey, to improve the performance of both the county government operations and all municipalities in Bergen County through technology and evidence-based governance. The project, spearheaded by SPAA Dean Marc Holzer and Bergen County Freeholder Tracy Zur, with the support of Bergen County Executive James Tedesco and Bergen County Administrator Dominic Novelli, seeks to implement new performance measurement technology developed by RU-N to track and improve a broad range of services delivered to citizens. The new performance system, “PublicPerformance,” will allow users to track service delivery efficiency in 18 areas such as road maintenance, finance, and administrative operations. Using this new data, groups of SPAA graduate and doctoral students will develop action plans using best practices from around the world to improve government efficiency and provide citizens with better and more effective service.

Questions from the media will be entertained during the press conference. This event is open to the public.
