League of Women Voters to Hold Forum for Newark Mayoral Candidates at Rutgers University in Newark

EDITOR’S NOTE:  All media are invited to cover this event. This event is free and open to the public.

WHAT:  A forum for candidates running for mayor of the city of Newark. All candidates who will appear on the May 11 ballot have been invited to participate in the forum. Candidates Clifford J. Minor, Yvonne Garrett Moore, and Mirna L. White have confirmed their attendance. Each candidate will have the opportunity to provide open and closing statements, will be asked three broad questions from the Newark League of Women Voters Membership-At-Large Unit, and respond to questions from the audience via index card submissions. Individuals attending the forum will have an opportunity to register to vote at the Robeson Campus Center.

WHO:  Dawn Clark of the League of Women Voters of New Jersey will moderate the forum.

WHEN:  Tuesday, April 27, 2010 at 6:30 pm (The forum will begin promptly.)

WHERE:  Rutgers University in Newark — Paul Robeson Campus Center (Essex Room-231/232) — 350 Dr. Martin Luther King Boulevard, Newark, NJ 07102

(Parking is available on the street and in the University Parking Garage on University Avenue.)
