(NEWARK, NJ) — Five students attending Rutgers University in Newark received honors at the 2009 Graduate Merit Awards dinner hosted by the Executive Women of New Jersey.

Graduate Merit Awards were given to Toni Kelich of Glen Ridge, New Jersey (Rutgers School of Law – Newark) and Florence Sinofsky of Montclair, New Jersey (Rutgers School of Law – Newark). In addition to receiving a Graduate Merit Award, special awards were presented to: Cynthia Jewell of West Orange, New Jersey (School of Public Affairs and Administration), who received the President’s Award for outstanding candidate pursuing a degree in public service; Courtney Raphael of Hillsborough, New Jersey (Rutgers School of Law – Newark), who received the Leslie Ehrlich Award for outstanding candidate pursuing a degree in law; and Olga Rodriguez-Sierra of Princeton, New Jersey (Graduate School – Newark), who received the CIT Women’s Leadership Council Award.
