Local Child Care Centers

Please note that Rutgers University-Newark is not a sponsor nor an endorser of any of the programs noted below. Each child care program sets its own policies, handles its own enrollment, and maintains its own waiting list. If the Child Care Committee has visited a center and found it an attractive, friendly, clean, caring, and professional (certified staff) environment, we will place an asterisk next to the center’s name.

PLEASE NOTE that most centers will require your child’s birth certificate, proof of residency, immunization records, proof of income, parents and child’s Social Security cards, and an updated physical. You are strongly encouraged to visit a center before applying in order to obtain important information relating to your child’s care.

If we can be of any assistance, please contact the Office of Commuter Services at 973-353-1630 or email the childcare committee at childcare@newark.rutgers.edu.
