Hidden Treasures Rutgers University–Newark Walking Tour

You may think that you know every nook and cranny of campus, but you’ll discover places you never knew existed on this tour that will give you an insider’s look at just a few of Rutgers-Newark’s hidden gems! Hear from some of the people who work behind the scenes and learn more about your campus. Among the stops will be the Golden Dome, where our Scarlet Raider athletes train, the Institute of Jazz Studies, the preeminent jazz archive in the world, WRNU, our student run campus radio station, and other campus buildings and places of interest.

Fall Fest Street Fair

DAY SIX MAIN EVENT: It’s a carnival! Bring your friends and family for a day of games, music, BBQ, and more. Win a prize at one of the carnival games, pose with friends in the photo booth, make a craft, or cool off with some ice cream and food! There will also be a BBQ so make sure you bring your appetite! Students make sure you stop by and tell all your friends about it!!

New Jersey Wildlife: Up Close and Real!

Meet some of New Jersey’s most amazing native species at this fun and educational program featuring reptiles, amphibians, birds, mammals, and more! Learn about their natural habitat and conservation efforts to protect them and other New Jersey wildlife from zookeepers of Essex County’s Turtle Back Zoo.
Rock, Paper, Scissors Tournament

Unleash your inner child at the Rock, Paper, Scissors Tournament at Fall Fest! Compete in a test of psychological will and dexterity against fellow alumni, students, and yes, little kids! Elimination rounds will be held on all three Rutgers campuses, with the winners facing off at New Brunswick’s Homecoming on October 27. The winners on each campus will receive a prize pack with Rutgers branded giveaways, two tickets to the Homecoming football game in New Brunswick, and a parking pass for the football game. A grand prize will be awarded to the final tournament winner in New Brunswick. The tournament is open to all ages.
