Andrew Solomon is the author of The Noonday Demon: An Atlas of the Depression, winner of the 2001 National Book Award for Nonfiction and a finalist for the 2002 Pulitzer Prize. His newest book, Far From the Tree: Parents, Children, and the Search for identity, won the 2013 National Book Critics Circle Award for Nonfiction. Soloman has also written novel A Stone Boat.
Richard Bianco was President Barak Obama's 2013 inaugural poet, he is the author of Looking for The Gulf Motel and City of a Hundred Fires. His book, Directions to The Beach of the Dead, won the Beyond Margins Award from the PEN American Center. His poems have appeared in The Nation, the New Republic, Ploughshares, The Best American Poetry and elsewhere.
