"TWA Flight 800": A Film Screening and Talk by the film's writer/director
Kristina Borjesson is the producer/director/writer of TWA Flight 800, an investigative documentary currently receiving critical acclaim. The documentary alleges that TWA Flight 800 was knocked out of the air by a missile in 1996, either mistakenly - by friendly fire - or by a terrorist. The film features six whistleblowers and members of the official investigation into the plane crash near New York City, detailing how their investigation was undermined and presenting forensic evidence about the plane. As a result of the documentary, the National Transportation Safety Board is re-examining its original conclusion that the plane crashed due to mechanical failure.
The documentary was seen by an estimated 7.5 million households when it was first cablecast on July 17, the 17th anniversary of the crash of Flight 800. It is being shown at film festivals across the country.
Borjesson is a noted documentary filmmaker and award-winning print and broadcast journalist for 30 years.
