The Lesbian Avengers and the Art of Being a Superhero.
The Lesbian Avengers were an early 1990s direct action group dedicated to lesbian empowerment and visibility. They ate fire, too! Lesbian Avenger, journalist and author Kelly Cogswell will discuss the group's history and tactics, and show clips from the famed filmmaker Su Friedrich's rarely shown documentary on the Avengers.
