Filmmaker and philanthropist Abigail Disney will speak about ways in which the youth generation can take action for gender issues and become an agent of peacebuilding.

Abigail Disney has worked on women’s issues and peacebuilding, which was culminated in her first film, Pray the Devil Back to Hell, about the Liberian women who peacefully ended their country’s fourteen-year civil war. The film premiered in 2008 at the Tribeca Film Festival, where it won Best Documentary. Disney is currently executive producer of the PBS mini-series Women, War & Peace, the comprehensive global media initiative on the role of women in peace and conflict.
