Film Series: Exploring Metropolitan and Urban Issues Around the World
47 Bleeker Street, Rutgers-Newark Campus
The Cornwall Center presents a film series which explores metropolitan and urban centers across the world. It consists of six sessions, each about two hours long to be held at the Cornwall Center during the academic year. The films will fill the first hour of the session and will be followed by a discussion of themes and topics present in the film. This is session III of the film series.
This session features:
My Mother Built This House - A large homeless contingent in Cape Town, South Africa depicts how they organized to build houses for each other.
and
Barcelona Blueprint - Present day Barcelona is profiled as a model of sustainable urban planning.
