Rutgers-Newark presents a special Evening of Music and Art, featuring a concert in the University Club, Paul Robeson Campus Center, followed by a meet-the-artists reception in the Paul Robeson Gallery.

ABOUT THE ARTISTS:
Oboist HASSAN ANDERSON is a graduate of The Juilliard School, where he received his Master of Music degree in oboe performance under the tutelage of Nathan Hughes. A native of Jacksonville, Fl. Anderson has won acclaim for numerous solo and chamber music performances, including three seasons at Vermont’s prestigious Marlboro Festival. He has taught at the Link School in Newark, at The Little Orchestra Society of New York City, The New York Philharmonic, and Jazz House Kids. www.shuffleconcert.com/hassan_anderson.html

Since 2004, the MOMENTA QUARTET has presented more than 100 concerts, many in New York City at such venues as Roulette; The Stone; Le Poisson Rouge; Issue Project Room; Tonic; BargeMusic; Symphony Space; Americas Society; Asia Society; and the Austrian Cultural Forum. The quartet is celebrated for innovative programming, often juxtaposing contemporary works from divergent aesthetics with music from the classical canon.
