Peter James DaPuzzo, UCN

Peter J. DaPuzzo was President of Cantor Fitzgerald & Companys Equity Institutional Sales and Trading Division from 1996 through 2000. He is now a Senior Managing Director of the firm.
Mr. DaPuzzo has been in the security industry for 45 years, beginning as a runner in 1958. He obtained his undergraduate degree from Rutgers University Cum Laude while working full time and is a life member of Delta Sigma Pi business Fraternity. Without changing firms, Peters original employer, Carl M. Loeb, Rhoades & Co. became Shear son Lehman Brothers after approximately nine mergers and takeovers. He helped to create one of the largest and strongest NASDQ departments throughout the 1980s, and he became one of the industrys leading spokesmen. Mr. DaPuzzo went on to be co-head of Worldwide Equities at Shearson Lehman Brothers from 1988 to 1992. After a short time with Michael Steinhardt Partners, a money management firm, Peter joined Cantor Fitzgerald in January of 1993.
Mr. DaPuzzo has been a member of many NASD, NYSE, and SIA committees. Presently he is serving as a member of the SIA Institutional Brokerage Committee, and also has served on the SIAs Trading Committee. He has served on the Board of the Philadelphia Stock Exchange and been President of the Security Traders Association of New York and Chairman of its parent, The Security Traders Association (STA). He serves on the STAs Presidential Advisory Board and is a founding member and President of the National Organization of Investment Professionals (NOIP). He is a member of the Board of Directors on Info-Crossing, a publicly traded company listed on the NASDAQ stock exchange. In addition, he is a member of the Columbus Citizens Foundation Investment Committee. He is active with several charities such as St. Michaels Church and Kids in Crisis, both in Greenwich, Connecticut and the Glaucoma Foundation in New York. He recently established the DaPuzzo Family Foundation, a charitable foundation dedicated to contributing to organizations whose focus is on children in need nation wide.
Mr. DaPuzzo has often been quoted in the financial news in such publications as the Wall Street Journal and The New York Times. He has also been featured on WCBS Radio, CNBC, CNN, and Bloomberg Television. He has been a guest on Wall Street Week with Louis Rukeyser, and participated in an NBC Wall Street special with Tom Brokaw.

Peter lives in Greenwich, Connecticut with his wife of 41 years, Mary Jane Hughes DaPuzzo. They have three sons and five grandchildren.
