Chief executive officer, Newark Alliance; former president and chief operating officer of both Public Service Electric and Gas Company and Verizon; Newark College of Arts and Science 1969.
In fall 2013 Koeppe was named the recipient of the Steven J. Diner Ethical Leadership Award by the Rutgers Institute for Ethical Leadership. He also is the 2012 recipient of the Ryan Award for Commitment to NJPAC and Leadership in the City of Newark.
Al Koeppe’s career and his personal life have centered on “what I valued in this little college while I was here,” and that is an “extraordinary connection” of Rutgers University to the community of Newark.
